Did you know that as early as 1800, cognac was drunk as a cocktail ? The Mint Julep was created in the USA and the other famous classic, the Cognac Collins, was invented in Britain.
Classic cocktails or original creations, we know the places in Cognac to try them. It’s up to you to choose the one you fancy most !

01
The highest : l’Indigo
On the fifth floor of the Martell building, a 360° view of Cognac is on offer !
Even in the height of summer, it’s a great place to enjoy a certain freshness and a super spot to watch the sun going down.

02
The most royal : Le Lys
A royal terrace with views over the river Charente.
In fact Le Lys is situated in the château where the future king François 1st was born. A summer port of call that’s not to be missed !

03
The most London vibes : Luciole
Before officiating in Cognac, Guillaume Le Dorner learned his trade in London, notably at 69 Colebrooke Row.
A rather British atmosphere has been created at Luciole with a blend of industrial décor and chesterfields.
But the real purpose of a visit is to try the list of cocktails that range from the classic dry martini to the original Avignon created with Luciole-made incense.

04
The most central : Bar Louise
There is no more central position than the Place François 1st in Cognac ! The Bar Louise is a great place to start or end an evening and the names of some of the cocktails make you dream of travelling : King’s Rock, Komet, MaïTaï.

05
One place, two ambiences : Les Chais Monnet
That’s the choice that the Les Chais Monnet offers, depending on the season. A piano-bar ambience with live weekend concerts to the Jazz bar 1838 set in a magnificent building that had been the cooperage of Maison Monnet. And there’s a festive rooftop to try out on hot summer evenings!

06
The least typical : Origins
At lunchtime, it’s a restaurant, in the evening a cocktail bar. On offer is a large choice of plancha to share with friends and a wide range of up-to-date cocktails and, of course, the promise of a super evening…
