La Maison des Vins Charentais has been supported since 2018 by the Syndicat des Vins IGP Charentais and its members. The industry is convinced of the importance of this place to bring to the fore the IGP appellation both locally and nationally.
The building is situated in the heart of Cognac (north bank) on a busy road at 26 Avenue de Lattre de Tassigny. It’s both a place to welcome clients and a shop window that enables promotion of the winemakers’ products and their commercialisation.

The purpose of the Maison des Vins is to develop local, commercial and tourism reception for the IGP wines thanks to the creation of this attractive showroom that is included in the visits in the town centre.

There are several different areas in the interior :
- A boutique that sells only IGP Charentais wines via a majestic vinotheque.
- An information area on the IGP Charentais wine industry, its challenges and its know-how.
- A wine bar where you can taste Charentais IGP wines for sale in the boutique. A different producer is highlighted every month.
- A tasting area oriented towards slow food where discovery, information, advice and participation in this ambiance are promoted.
- A professional meeting/tasting room that can be used to host private events.

La Maison des Vins Charentais highlights the diversity and cultural wealth of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. All the participants in the winemaking process have a unique place for meetings, discussions and sharing. The Charentes are attractive !
La Maison des Vins Charentais will be open in April 2024 from Tuesday to Saturday.
