Abbaye de Bassac

Between Angoulême and Cognac, this Benedictine abbey is located in the village of Bassac. The visitor is immediately impressed by its architecture emerging from the vineyards.
Since its foundation in the eleventh century, this Benedictine abbey has known many painful and splendid episodes throughout its history. Gothic, baroque and classical styles coexist harmoniously in this place.

The abbey is a spiritual place dedicated to Sainte Therese de Lisieux. In this way, it is a suitable place to meditate.
