River trip aboard the boat "La Charente" from Saint-Simon
The river trip in a gabarre on board will be the perfect end (or beginning!) to your visit to the Village Gabarriers de Saint-Simon, in the Charente.
The gabarre trip, with commentary, lasts about 1h30 and allows you to discover, from various points of view, the quays of Juac, the gabarrier village of Saint-Simon, the old dry dockyard, the islands of Vibrac and a preserved natural environment. The crossing of the Juac lock is of course also on the programme, followed by the discovery of the villages of Saint-Amant and Graves (a beautiful 12th century church which is admirably reflected in the waters of the river), and then of the dyke known as the Déversoir.
