Balade contée nocturne | Les histoires de Mademoiselle Julienne au clair de lune
The Wednesday 16 July
Au Logis de Julienne Impasse des Porches 16200 Julienne
This Destination Nocturne is an ‘A votre Image’ creation. It is the fruit of a dynamic collaboration and shared confidence between the JMAT team and Destination Patrimoine. Following its success in 2024, the walk will be repeated in 2025.
Evening organised by the association Julienne, métiers d'art et tourisme
Highlights of the evening:
8.30pm APERO CHARENTAIS hosted by the muse Julienne
9.30pm STORY TALK hosted by Sandrine RICHARD
11pm BISTROT EPHEMERE (drinks and light snacks).
JULIENNE? It’s a lovely name for a village in the Charente region, internationally renowned for its Contemporary Stone Sculpture Symposium, held since 2002. These 21st-century works of art are well worth a visit and, above all, have a rightful place in our cultural heritage! JULIENNE is also a village with an unusual history, with neither a church nor a cemetery… well, almost! In fact, this guided walk invites you to discover Julienne’s little-known heritage treasures: its 18th-century dwelling, its narrow streets punctuated by porches of typically Charentais architecture, its former Protestant “family” cemetery and finally its esplanade, around the Town Hall, dedicated to the Symposium sculptures. From past to present, let Mademoiselle Julienne’s stories be told in the moonlight!
