If you’re looking for a family holiday in a friendly region that’s rich in know-how and heritage, then welcome ! Perhaps you don’t know where to start when preparing your stay. What should you see ? What activities are there ? Don’t worry, we’re there for you! Here’s a suggested five day itinerary.

Day 1 : the unmissables
Visit the Art & History town of Cognac, wander down to the quayside for a boat trip or perhaps hire your own to explore the river Charente.
Day 2 : exploring the vineyards
Explore the vine-clad scenery that surrounds the town of Cognac. Follow windy roads and perhaps have a break in a welcoming village for a family walk or find an orientation table to admire the view. Those who want to know more about the three appellations of our wines, visit the Musée des Savoir-faire in Cognac, use the geocaching app to play “Panique à l’almbic, participate in an escape game or perhaps meet an enthusiastic winemaker who will explain the process from vine to aging.
Day 3 : adventure on two wheels

Many kilometres of the banks of the Charente have been turned into safe paths for cycling. First choose the trip, the amount of time, then bring your picnic for lunch beside the river and your costume for a refreshing dip. The banks of the river Charente are just right for families. If you haven’t got your own cycle, contact a renter of bikes and electric scooters.
Day 4 : le Bain des Dames
Enjoy the pleasure of swimming in complete safety in the natural jewel of the Bain des Dames
in the heart of Châteauneuf-sur-Charente. Nestling along the peaceful banks of the Charente, this centre offers the opportunity to swim in a natural setting, supervised in summer for your peace of mind and safety. Canoe trips are also available.

Day 5 : adventure, games and activities
There are loads of family activities in Cognac and the area: donkey trips, tree-climbing adventure parks, investigations at the Château of mysteries. Find all our suggestions for visits and family activities and days out. Don’t forget to make a note before you arrive !
