André Mermet Outdoor Base
The André Mermet outdoor base is located in an idyllic setting on the banks of the Charente. Eight shaded hectares with picnic areas, games and sports and relaxation facilities for young and old.
Situated on the edge of François 1er Park, the outdoor base is the ideal place to come and have fun and relax! It was imagined by Doctor André Mermet, in 1967, to offer a family place, where children can exercise and get some fresh air. And it is!
On a landscaped area of 8 hectares, they can enjoy the green spaces and games. In the summer, a supervised and equipped pool welcomes children from 2 to 10 years old (under the full responsibility of the adults accompanying them) for a most refreshing moment! Inflatable games and trampolines are sure to amuse the youngest.
As for the older children, they can play mini-golf, rugby, football, tennis, volleyball or beach…
Pedal boats are also available for hire from spring to autumn. The open-air base is open all year round.
