The courses take place on roads, trails and undergrowth. Start and finish are at Place des Borderies in Louzac-Saint-André. Competitors will find themselves in and around the towns of Louzac-St-André and Saint-Laurent de Cognac. Volunteers from Saint-Laurent de Cognac will be on hand to provide entertainment in the heart of the village, where the 21 kms and 14 kms will pass through, with the added bonus of a visit to the village's magnificent wash-house.
The routes will take in the villages of Javrezac, Cherves-Richemont and Saint-Laurent de Cognac.
Trail de la Forêt de Bourou :
This 10 km course with 160 m of positive elevation gain offers a start that gets the head of the race going before attacking the hilly terrain. The trails then lead you into the beautiful Bourou forest, which you can discover by taking small paths known as “singles”.
Trail de Saint Laurent :
This 14-kilometer trail, with 220 m elevation gain, takes you along hilly paths through vineyards and woods to the commune of Saint Laurent de Cognac. After passing in front of the mill, the wash-house and the church, it’s time to take the “patate de Saint Laurent” towards Louzac St-André to finish.
Trail des Bois de Louzac :
This 21-kilometer course, with 300 m of ascent, lets you enjoy the hilly paths between the vineyards, the single-track sections through the woods, and the loop through Saint Laurent and its magnificent village. Riding on the 1st part of the course, you can enjoy the woods of the Bourou forest on the 2nd part.
“Canicross des bois de Louzac:
This 6.5 km course, with a 100 m vertical drop, offers a fast start so as not to create a barrier between dogs and runners. The trails will then take you through the Bourou forest, including some beautiful single-track sections.”
