Discover the historic site of the Saint-Simeux fisheries. Presentation of films and photos explaining the eel fishing technique.
Presentation of the net material, the work carried out by the association "Les Essacs de Saint-Simeux" to safeguard and enhance this unique site on the Charente, and the village's traditional activities.
A special fishing event is planned to coincide with the European Heritage Days, and the fish caught will be presented and released after the event.
Barges will be available for tours of the site and the village.
A refreshment bar will be set up on site by members of the association.
Alongside these presentations, an exhibition will showcase the village’s rich biodiversity.
